Happy New Year from Chef Tre! I know that food was goood this Holiday season. Especially if you tried out some of the recipes in “A Taste of Soul”!

It’s a new year and it’s time to get all those resolutions met. Dieting and workouts are on most peoples’ list, including mine. Constant trips to the gym, dieting plans that just don’t seem to work, and neglecting yourself of your favorite foods are the most common gripes. Well gripe no further!

Two words… Intermittent Fasting folks.

Instead of dieting all day you give yourself eating and non-eating times! Either the 16/8 schedule or the 14/10. This means that the majority of the day will be fasting, and the lesser spent eating. The time starts based on when YOU start normally eating.

Myself for example, I do the 14/10 schedule. I start eating at 9 AM and finish at 7PM. Fasting this way speeds up your metabolism, helps digestion which in turn helps your body BURN fat! It also lowers blood sugar and insulin levels, reduces bad cholesterol, and increases brain focus and memory.  All while eating the things YOU like to eat!
